Shannon McAvoy

Shannon McAvoy, Project Manager and Lic R.E. Salesperson

Shannon McAvoy, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Trinity College and has over 10 years of experience in design and construction.

Shannon came to real estate with Halstead with a varied career path. She worked for Fortune 100 Financial Institution, a Fortune 500 consulting firm as well as multiple non-profit organizations, and recently completed a year of service with AmeriCorps helping to establish an on-campus food pantry. Shannon’s transition to Real Estate comes naturally after working with her partner of 10 years in their design/build firm specializing in sustainably built and remodeled homes. “I am excited to be with Halstead and the fantastic people that make this company so great. My clients benefit from my years building, remodeling and designing homes.”

Shannon is very well organized, detail oriented. She believes everyone should be treated with kindness, and that finding the perfect house is like finding your partner in life – you know it’s “the one” the instant you walk inside. “Whether you are renting or buying, I will help you find the perfect place for you. If you’re selling, I will help you find the buyer that loves your home as much as you do.”

Born and raised in California, and no stranger to relocation, Shannon has lived in Southern California, Mexico, Northern California, and Oregon, moving to Connecticut in 2002. With road trips calling, Shannon has traveled to 33 of our 50 states plus Washington DC. She understands the difficulties and challenges of moving – no matter if it’s across town or across the country. Finding the right community and a place to call home is hard. “I moved 17 times in 16 years as a child and learned so much along the way. As an adult, I completed three Corporate relocations in three different ways – in three different states. I can help you navigate through the challenges with a relocation – finding a spot for you to call home and a place to service your car.”

“Shannon reached out to me and listened to my comments and concerned, and with this she was able to provide various housing options for me. This helped alleviate much of the stress of transitioning and finding a new place to call home.” ~ Kasey T.
